Special shielded cables
cables are protected against interference (shielding) and also have electrostatic protection.
Applications
Special shielded cables are used in fixed installations in control, command and signaling circuits of electrical equipment, structured cabling, machine connections, power supply, microprocessor systems.
In its process, special shielded cables can have various forms of shielding, from individual with drain on each pair or triple or just collective in the assembly.
Furthermore, special shielded cables are used in fixed conduit systems (embedded or exposed), channels, duct banks, cable trays, beds, electrical panels, among other applications. It has collective protection in aluminized polyester tape and copper braid against electromagnetic interference. Special shielded cables have great flexibility, resistance to UV, weather and humidity, as well as some chemicals
Construction
Bare copper conductor
PVC polyvinyl chloride insulation.
Aluminized polyester tape + 0.5 mm tinned copper drain wire
PVC polyvinyl chloride cover
The special shielded cables comply with the following standards:
Stringing: IEC 60228
Insulation: 150/250 V (300 V) – IEC 60092-376.
Choice and installation of electrical cables: IEC 60092-352.
Special shielded cables are preferred in industrial applications when higher transmission performance is required, or when data reliability and maximum productivity are essential.
Special shielded cables may be manufactured in another section, size or material at the customer's request.
Options with other formations or compounds:
1 – Tinned copper conductor. Class 2 stringing.
2 – Different sections and number of veins, maximum up to:
• 71 x 0.50mm² / 71 x 2.50mm²
• 52 x 4.00mm²
• 42 x 6.00mm²
• 20 x 10.0mm²
3 – Vein insulation / other temperatures:
– PVC/E -105ºC
– XLPE – 125 ºC
– HEPR – 90 ºC
– PE – 80 ºC
5 – SN or NU COPPER shielding as per customer request
4 – Material of the intermediate layer and cover:
– PE
– PVC/E
– PVC/ST2
– Special PVC resistant to oils, greases and other chemicals.
– LSZH (non-halogenated polyolefin compound)
