SHIELDED CONTROL CABLE

Shielded control cable

Recommended for use in fixed installations, the shielded control cable is used in control, command and signaling circuits of electrical equipment, structured cabling, machine connections, button panels, power supply, microprocessed systems, in automation of substations, generating plants, areas industrial, and chemical.

They are also applied in fixed conduit systems (embedded or exposed), channels, duct banks, cable trays, beds, electrical panels, among other applications.

Made from bare or tinned copper conductor, meeting conductor standards (NM-280), the shielded control cable can be manufactured with various types of insulation, such as:

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) – 70C

EPR/B – 90C

Crosslinked Polyethylene (XLPE) – 90C

Polyethylene (PE) – 80C

Non-halogenated compound (LSZH) – 90C

The shielded control cable is used for solutions in environments with interference, there are several types of shielding such as:

Aluminized Electrostatic Tape

Copper Tape

Steel Tape

Bare Copper Braid

Tinned Copper Braid

Steel Braid

When shielded in Copper Tape, Steel Tape, Bare Copper Braid, Tinned Copper Braid, Steel Braid, it must be manufactured with an intermediate layer.

Before covering the shielded control cable, a separator made of non-hygroscopic tape or non-woven fabric tape is applied. The covering can be made with various compounds, including:

PE
PVC/E
PVC/ST2
Special PVC resistant to oils, greases and other chemicals.
LSZH (non-halogenated polyolefin compound)

For classified areas, we can manufacture a perfectly cylindrical cover for cable gland applications.

The shielded control cable has good flexibility, resistance to UV, weather and humidity and certain chemicals.

• Insulation voltage for the cable:
Up to 1.0mm² – 500V
From 1.50mm² to 10.00mm² – 1000V
• Routine tests:
Electrical resistance of the conductor at 20ºC
Electrical voltage in Alternating Current
Insulation resistance.

The shielded control cable meets the standards as below

Applicable Specifications
