SHIELDED TWISTED PAIR CABLE
Available on the market in different types, the shielded twisted pair cable has this name because it has extra protection that protects the shielded twisted pair cable against interference and external noise. The shielding of the shielded twisted pair cable can be made with copper tapes, twisted copper, bare copper mesh, or through aluminized tape with tinned drain, according to the location to be used and project specification. In all shielding models, the shielded twisted pair cable provides effective and highly safe protection, as copper and aluminum, in addition to being excellent conductors of electricity, are resistant materials and protect cables against fire and abrasive materials.
Applications Shielded twisted pair cable
They are used in fixed installations in control, command and signaling circuits of electrical equipment, structured cabling, machine connections, button panels, power supply, microprocessed systems, in automation of substations, generating plants, industrial and chemical areas, among others.
They are applied in fixed conduit systems (embedded or exposed), channels, duct banks, cable trays, beds, electrical panels, among other applications. It has collective protection in aluminized polyester tape and copper braid against electromagnetic interference. This shielded twisted pair cable has good flexibility, resistance to UV, weather and humidity and certain chemicals.
