SHIELDED POWER CABLE
Armored power cable
The shielded power cable is used in places where there is electromagnetic interference.
Electromagnetic interference is a generic term commonly used in electronics to express noise that interferes with the transmission of information or the functioning of a circuit.
This type of shielded power cable is used in power supply and power distribution circuits in substations, industrial and commercial installations, underground electrical power distribution networks and other similar applications, in any type of installation.
Therefore, the shielded power cable can be made from bare or tinned electrolytic copper wires, according to NM-280, class 2 or 5 stranding, the insulation can be made from various types of materials such as:
Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) ST1 70C or ST2 105C
Ethylene Propylene (EPR/B – High Modulus)
Cross-linked Polyethylene (XLPE)
Polyethylene (PE)
The shielded power cable can be manufactured with various types of shielding such as:
Aluminized electrostatic tape,
Naked Copper Braid,
Tinned copper braid,
copper tape,
steel tape,
Steel braid
The outer jacket of the shielded power cable can be made according to the customer's request, such as:
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
CECO™ Elastomeric Compound or CEAC™ Elastomeric Compound in black, flame resistant.
Polyurethane ( PUR)
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) special resistant to oils, greases and other chemicals.
LSZH (non-halogenated polyolefin compound)
When requested, the cover can be perfectly cylindrical for applications with cable glands in hazardous areas (Ex)
The manufacturing of the shielded power cable can be for mobile or fixed application, the shape can be round or rectangular (flat), depending on the application and customer request.
The shielded power cable meets the standards:
ABNT/MERCOSUL: NM-280 and NM-IEC
NBR NM IEC 60332-3-23 (Category B)
ABNT: NBR 7290 (when manufactured with insulation/final cover in XLPE or HEPR/PVC-)
ABNT: NBR 13248 (when manufactured with HEPR/LSZH insulation/final cover).
ABNT: NBR 7289 (when manufactured with PVC/PVC insulation/final cover)
ABNT: NBR 6251
We can manufacture the cable with internal identification in numbers or colors, the external cover can be made according to the customer's request;
