SHIELD CABLES
Shield cables
Shield cables are cables that have electrostatic protection.
Shield cables are developed to ensure greater safety and durability with a special coating that protects against electromagnetic interference. Therefore, they bring some advantages to customers;
As greater resistance to wear suffered by external factors;
Performing its function with much more security.
They can be applied in various areas, such as electrical equipment installations, drive and control, control panels, factory and industrial machines and several other segments.
Ideal for fire alarm systems or any other application that requires grounding and magnetic protection.
If the installation is grounded correctly, the use of shield cables eliminates the need for metal conduits and can even be used directly under ceilings.
For this shielding in the construction of shield cables, aluminized polyester tape + drain wire for grounding is used.
CONSTRUCTION:
Bare copper conductor
PVC insulation 70°
Shielding in aluminized polyester tape + drain wire
70º PVC cover
It can be built according to the customer's needs.
In insulation and coverage, for example:
shield cables can use compounds:
that have greater flexibility (HEPR, TPV)
weather resistant (PVC TR)
non-halogen (LSZH)
Shield cables are ideal for fire alarm systems or any other application that requires grounding and magnetic protection.
If the installation is grounded correctly, it eliminates the use of metal conduits and can even be used directly under ceilings.
– Conductor made up of 7 elements, class 2
-PVC insulation in black and white for the pair or black, white and red for the trio
-Twist pitch 50mm, non-hygroscopic tape separator
-Shielding in polyester/aluminum tape applied over flexible drain
Applicable Specifications
NBR – 6880 – Copper conductors for insulated cables - standardization
NBR – 6148 – Insulated conductors with extruded polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation for voltages up to 750V – specification.
NBR – 9441 – Execution of fire detection and alarm systems
NBR – 10898 – Emergency lighting system
In shield cables, the supported voltages can be very low, such as 150 volts for sleeve cables, 300 volts for instrumentation cables and up to 1000 volts for control and power cables.
